HAUC Consulting
Toru Okuma is a senior Medical Affairs leader with over 25 years of experience across clinical development, Medical Affairs and business development in the pharmaceutical industry. He previously served as Deputy Head and Senior Director of the Medical Division at Bristol Myers Squibb K.K., where he led medical activities across immunology, cardiology, gastroenterology and hematology, including launches of CAR T cell therapies.
At Merck & Co., Inc., he served as Strategy Realization Director in Global Medical Affairs, driving strategic planning and execution for major global initiatives. At MSD K.K. in Japan, he served as Director of Business Development, leading partner search, evaluation and alliance formation.
Building on this experience, he founded HAUC Consulting to support Medical Affairs organizations in clarifying their value, designing strategies, enabling execution, strengthening MSL organizations and leading change. He holds an M.S. in Cell Biology and an MBA, and brings strong project management capability to each engagement.
